Built in 1870 as a circuit bungalow for British Government Agents, the Old Polonnaruwa Rest House and once the Queen of England’s holiday destination in the 1960’s, has now been restored and renamed as EKHO Lake House, Polonnaruwa.
EKHO Lake House overlooks the panoramic Sea of Parakrama Samudraya and offers magnificent views of the historic centre of Polonnaruwa’s UNESCO World Heritage site of Kingdoms past.
Air-conditioned rooms are comfortable and tastefully furnished. It features a private terrace, a TV and a minibar. En suite bathrooms will provide you with a bathtub or shower facilities.
The friendly staff can arrange for barbecue sessions and packed lunches. Currency exchange services, luggage storage and free parking facilities are all available on-site.

Cancellation PolicyFull cancellation for the entire booking period will be charged for all no-shows and bookings cancelled as per release.
Cancellation of the reservation can be made free of charge 30 days prior to the first day of arrival.
In case of allocations, block bookings, the resort reserve the right to advise the agent to "stop sales" or "go slow" during a specific period only.
All valid cancellations should be supported with a “confirmed cancellation voucher” issued by us
Bookings within 30 days of the arrival will be liable to pay 50% of the full accommodation cost.
